M. Badar Anwer, MD

Dr. Anwer has been a Gastroenterologist serving the communities of Central Florida since 1997. Dr. Anwer received his medical degree from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. He is board-certified in Gastroenterology by The American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Anwer is former chief of the medical staff at Florida Hospital Celebration Health in Celebration, Florida. He is devoted to providing you state-of-the-art interventional procedures with treatment focusing on your digestive health relief.



Mohammad Aftab Anwar, MD

Dr. Aftab completed medical school in 1968 in Karachi, Pakistan and has been a Gastroenterologist since 1975. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. He is Board Certified Gastroenterologist from the American Board of Gastroenterology since 1981 and from American Board of Internal Medicine since 1977.

Dr. Aftab Anwar brings an exceptional level of expertise to the treatment of diseases and disorders of the digestive system. Dr. Anwar is former Section Chief Gastroenterology at the Veterans Administration Gulf Coast Heath Care Systems in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was a Founder Member of the Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and GI Endoscopy and was actively involved with organizing Annual Conferences in which he conducted numerous teaching endoscopic workshops in Pakistan. Recently, Dr. Anwar was teaching Endoscopies to surgical residents from Air Force Medical College and University of South Alabama rotating at VA Hospital.

With over 35 years of clinical experience, and advanced endoscopy training, Dr. Anwar have performed the most advanced endoscopic procedures related to EGD, colonoscopy and ERCP. He is proficient in non-invasive GI procedures like esophageal manometry, 25 hour esophageal pH studies, anorectal manometry, and video capsule endoscopy.


S. Lynette Scible, ARNP

Lynette Scible, ARNP is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Advanced Gastroenterological Associates. She received her undergraduate degrees from Valencia College in Orlando, FL; Louisiana, State University, and the University of West Florida. She completed her graduate studies in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. While at USA, she was honored with the Award for Clinical Excellence among her graduating class, and she was inducted into the honor society Phi Kappa Phi for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average in graduate school. She is board certified as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the ANCC.

 Lynette has worked in the field of gastroenterology for over 18 years. She and Dr. Anwer have collaborated on many patient care projects through the years, and together they published the article Detecting a Small Bowell Tumor Via Wireless Capsule Endoscopy: A Clinical Case Study. She is an active member of the American Gastroenterology Association. She and her husband, Gregg, are long-time residents and those of the surrounding counties in Central Florida. One of the most enjoyable aspects of her career is meeting with her patients to discuss their personal health goals and devising a plan of care to help them to eat properly, develop healthy habits, and be well.


Andrea L. Fowler, ARNPAndrea L. Fowler, ARNP

Andrea Fowler is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Advanced Gastroenterological Associates. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Cum Laude Honors at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. Additionally, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. She practiced as a nurse in the emergency room setting for 12 years as she completed her graduate studies in the family nurse practitioner program at South University in Savannah, Georgia. While at South University, she maintained a 4.0 grade point average and graduated with high honors. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).She is an active member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She enjoys building relationships with people to better understand their health needs, and working together to achieve healthy goals.
